An Update and Next Week's Menu (29th February- 5th March)
It's been a long time since we last posted and a lot has been happening! Most notably we have welcomed our son Louie into the world. He was born on 1st December 2015 and is growing up very quickly already. Having a new baby is wonderful but not very conducive to finishing our upstairs area which you will have noticed is still not open! We are pleased to say we will be opening the upstairs seating area to everyone after Easter. It's a great space and we can't wait to get it open so everyone can enjoy it.
We have also been lucky enough to welcome our new baker, Helen to the team. We hope you are all enjoying her wonderful sweet creations, we particularly love her raspberry, nut and oat bars and delicious squidgy Nutella sandwich cookies! Several of you have stopped us in the street to say how good the Nutella cookies are so they are definitely a hit! Look out for more new cakes and sweet things over the next few months.
We have a delicious new coffee on this week from James Gourmet Coffee: Anza Guintar Antioquia, Colombia. "20 small holders produce this bold chocolatey lot, black treacle cooling into apricot like soft rounded acidity with a creamy body and dry spicy cocoa on the finish."
