Kings St Kitchen

We are King Street Kitchen, a proudly independent family run café, serving great food, made by us. We serve Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Afternoon Tea. A mixture of the Great British ‘caff’ and inspiration from our travels. Bringing back the neighbourhood café scene.

Upstairs at King Street Kitchen opening Tuesday 29th March

We are delighted to announce that our long awaited upstairs will be open on Tuesday 29th March. We hope you all enjoy using the space. It's been a very long journey from when it was a solicitors office and as usual we wish we had taken more photos to record the transformation!

We will be celebrating the opening on Tuesday by serving complimentary fizz and nibbles upstairs all day for those who'd like to come up and have a look and a chat. It's a fabulous space for events and if you are interested in hiring the space please get in touch. We hope on a day to day basis it will mean we can offer you all a more relaxing and spacious environment to enjoy our wonderful food and drink away from the hustle and bustle of the takeaway trade downstairs.

Plans for the space include afternoon teas over the summer, breakfast meetings and we've already got a fabulous hen do brunch booked in! We can tailor events to suit you so get in touch for details!

We will be able to offer the space to book out exclusively or you will be able to reserve large tables of 6 or more. Please give us a call on 01432 272001 to book.

Next week we have Fran's jalapeño and cheddar sausage rolls on the menu as well as our delicious home baked quiches, cakes, sandwiches and salads. We've got a gluten and dairy free spiced orange and almond cake, Nutella cookies and some white chocolate, peanut and salted caramel brownies on the cake section.

We are also looking forward to welcoming back some of our uni girls Holly and Harrie for the Easter holidays! Always great to see their lovely smiles!

Looking forward to seeing you all this week and wishing you all a restful Easter break.

Easter 2016 Opening Hours and Menu

As our regular customers will know we close over Easter for some family time and to make updates and improvements to the cafe. This year our opening hours will be as follows:

Good Friday: Closed

Easter Saturday: Closed

Easter Monday: Closed

Tuesday: open as usual 8am -4pm

When we re-open our upstairs area will be open for you all to enjoy and we will be serving complimentary refreshments upstairs all day on Tuesday 29th March for those who want to come up and have a little look.

We are now taking bookings and reservations for upstairs for exclusive use or if you would like to reserve a large table (6 or more people) we can now reserve in our upstairs seating area. (Although please be aware that the stairs are steep for those who are less mobile!)  Please get in touch for details at or by using the contact page on this website.

We are so looking forward to finally opening and being able to offer you a more relaxed and open space in which to enjoy our fantastic coffee, cakes and food.

The wonderful artwork upstairs is provided by the very talented Lucy  Baxendale.

This week our special is Chicken, Bacon and Mushroom Stroganoff which has been a favourite ever since it was mentioned in The Guardian newspaper when they did their article on best budget eats in Hereford in 2012. It's Sophie's own recipe and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

We also have some delicious cakes on including a coffee, mascarpone and hazelnut sponge, a fresh raspberry Victoria and we will be serving a delicious Guiness and Chocolate cake with cream cheese icing to celebrate St. Patrick's day on Thursday...also available as a cup cake!

We look forward to seeing you all this week!
